Corpus Christi at Lake Rursee 2025

This year, we in the pastoral area of Blessed Helena Stollenwerk Simmerath will once again celebrate Corpus Christi together at Antoniushof in Rurberg on June 19, 2025.
At 7.15 a.m., the Gospel Book will be carried in procession from the parish church in Einruhr to the ship "St. Nikolaus", which will depart for Rurberg at 7.30 a.m.. Due to the construction work on the Eiserbach dam, the Einruhr procession will pass through the park at Eiserbachsee this year. From Woffelsbach, the "Stella Maris" will take the participants in the festive mass to Rurberg at 7.45 am. Texts and songs from the Corpus Christi booklet will be prayed and sung on both ships.
The solemn high mass begins at 8.30 a.m. in Rurberg at the Antoniushof near the landing stage.
This year's celebratory preacher is regional vicar Father Wieslaw Kaczor, Steinfeld Monastery
The mass is accompanied by the "Corpus Christi Project Choir" and the "Allzeit Fröhlich" music band from Dedenborn.
After the festive mass, a procession moves to the boat, which sails across the Obersee to Einruhr. In Einruhr, all participants walk to the parish church of St. Nicholas, where the sacramental blessing is given.
The procession to Woffelsbach moves to the ship, which sails across the Rursee to Woffelsbach, and the ships and the Rursee are blessed on the way. Once in Woffelsbach, the procession moves to the chapel of St. Wendelinus for the final blessing

All those who have a boat on the lake are invited to accompany the Woffelsbach ship with their boat or to receive it in trellis.
All the faithful of our parishes and all guests and pilgrims from near and far are cordially invited to join in the celebration. Special invitation to all communion children, altar servers of our parishes, all clubs, the DLRG etc.
Pastor Stoffels and the organization team are looking forward to welcoming numerous participants to celebrate a joyful festival of faith.
There is no charge for the boat trip.
